چکیده

Sensor calibration is a fundamental step for improving the performance in sensor fusion, aim of which to spatially and temporally register sensors with respect each other. This paper presents high-accuracy autocalibration method estimate extrinsic parameters between LiDAR an IMU. LiDAR/IMU challenging task since raw measurements are distorted, biased, noisy, asynchronous. Our approach adopts continuous-time trajectory estimation wherein IMU modeled by Gaussian process(GP) regression independent sampling timestamps. Accordingly, distorted delayed points sampled at discrete timestamps can be analytically on-manifold batch optimization. To efficiently accurately associate laser stable environmental objects, carried out known environments point map that segmented as structured planes managed specially designed octree map.We thoroughly investigated factors relevant accuracy evaluated proposed using both simulated real-world datasets. The results demonstrate robustness our sufficient most applications.

Continuous-Time Trajectory Estimation for Event-based Vision Sensors

Event-based vision sensors, such as the Dynamic Vision Sensor (DVS), do not output a sequence of video frames like standard cameras, but a stream of asynchronous events. An event is triggered when a pixel detects a change of brightness in the scene. An event contains the location, sign, and precise timestamp of the change. The high dynamic range and temporal resolution of the DVS, which is in t...

Incremental Sparse GP Regression for Continuous-time Trajectory Estimation & Mapping

Recent work on simultaneous trajectory estimation and mapping (STEAM) for mobile robots has found success by representing the trajectory as a Gaussian process. Gaussian processes can represent a continuous-time trajectory, elegantly handle asynchronous and sparse measurements, and allow the robot to query the trajectory to recover its estimated position at any time of interest. A major drawback...

Continuous-Time Visual-Inertial Trajectory Estimation with Event Cameras

In contrast to traditional cameras, which output images at a fixed rate, event cameras have independent pixels that output asynchronous pixel-level brightness changes with microsecond resolution. In this paper, we leverage a continuoustime framework to perform trajectory estimation by fusing visual data from a moving event camera with inertial data from an IMU. This framework allows direct inte...

Tutorial on Structured Continuous-Time Markov Processes

A continuous-time Markov process (CTMP) is a collection of variables indexed by a continuous quantity, time. It obeys the Markov property that the distribution over a future variable is independent of past variables given the state at the present time. We introduce continuous-time Markov process representations and algorithms for filtering, smoothing, expected sufficient statistics calculations...

Time optimal trajectory planning in dynamic environments

This paper presents a method for motion planning in dynamic environments, subject to robot dynamics and ac-tuator constraints. The time optimal trajectory is computed by rst generating an initial guess using the concept of velocity obstacle. The initial guess, computed by a global search over a tree of avoidance maneuvers, is then optimized using a dynamic optimization. This method is applicabl...
